MA Between Platforms

The Urban project is located in Neve Sha'anan neighborhood, adjacent to the New Central Bus Station. It explores the tension between presence and absence,echoing the Japanese concept of MA, that describes the gap between things; it emphasizes relationships and balance rather than the object itself. In the context of urban fabric, MA expresses the city's spatial infrastructure and refers to the gaps, relationships, and balance between buildings, streets, and people. MA is significant because it generates a sense of rhythm, articulates the city's dynamics, and expresses the balance between extreme opposites
